I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Film from the University of Kansas in 2003, and have worked at Channel 6 Productions in one role or another since 2001. Having produced material for air on several stations in Wichita and Lawrence since 1997, I am versed in the use of the Avid, Premier, and Media 100 editing systems. After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator are a few of the other programs I use on a daily basis. I regularly shoot on a variety of formats, and am featured on DVDs available nationally as a Director of Photography. I feel honored to be able to do what I love for a living.
On a more personal note, I am a nerd. I know more about the works of J.K. Rowling than anyone should. I have a fairly substantial collection of paraphernalia to further illustrate this. I played a certain massively multiplayer online game for longer than I care to admit and nearly put 65 Bard on my resume. I used to go to LAN parties. I built my own computer. I’ve seen John Carmack speak in person, and even understood some of what he said. My second choice of majors was Physics. I’ve seen every episode of Star Trek: TNG at least twice. I own a good deal of Anime and Sci-Fi. I love movies of all types. I guess that’s why I’m in this business.
