I’m a native of Smithton, Missouri, located about 2 hours east of Kansas City.

Graduate of the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO. Got my start in television working at KMOS-TV, the university’s PBS station.

Worked at TV stations in Springfield, MO, Lexington, KY, Jefferson City, MO and KSNT-TV in Topeka.

I enjoy biking, (ride my bike to work every day), reading, playing in my church’s praise band, Wednesday night trivia at Conroy’s Pub, Blizzards at Dairy Queen and the 3 R’s: Reading TV Guide, writing to TV Guide and renewing TV Guide.

I am a former Chiefs season-ticket holder and a big fan of the Kansas City Royals and the Missouri Tigers., old 60’s and 70’s TV shows and The Simpsons. All-time favorite movies are “Cool Hand Luke,” “Animal House” and “The Godfather,” but “Smokey And The Bandit” was the one that changed my life the most.

The biggest thrills in my life have been meeting tennis star and internationally-renowned beauty Gabriela Sabatini in 1991 and meeting the members of Yes backstage (including my musical heroes Chris Squire and Steve Howe) after a 2004 concert.

The greatest benefit of being the producer/director of Channel 6’s 1 On1 Trivia is that for those people who in my teenage years thought I would never amount to anything because of my endless reading and watching a wretched amount of TV, I can tell them I’m make a living in TV and am part of an award-winning production staff.
