Born and grew up in Mid-Missouri about 2 hours east of Kansas City.
Graduate of Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, MO. Got my start in television working at KMOS-TV, the university's PBS station.
Worked at TV stations in Springfield, MO, Lexington, KY, Jefferson City, MO and KSNT-TV in Topeka.
I enjoy biking, (ride my bike to work every day), reading, learning to play the guitar, church mission work, doing projects around the house. Favorite TV channels are ESPN Classic, HGTV, Showtime and DIY.
I am an 11-year Chiefs season-ticket holder. A big fan of the Kansas City Royals, Missouri Tigers, all varieties of music, (favorites are Yes, Rush, The Who, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra), old 60's and 70's TV shows and The Simpsons. All-time favorite movies are "Cool Hand Luke," "Animal House" and "The Godfather."
I greatly admire: Donald Trump, Howard Stern, Hugh Hefner, Sarah Hill and Rod Smith. (The latter two are colleagues from my time working in Jefferson City, MO)
