Advertising Producer
I grew up in Topeka and started making commercials in high school for my sister’s secondhand clothing store, Branded. Armed with a battered Hi-8 camcorder and a handful of eccentric friends, I set out to make the most bizarre commercials on local T.V. To my surprise, people outside my circle of friends actually liked them. In 2003 the Kansas Association of Broadcasters awarded me second place for a commercial series produced under $500.
After my stint in guerilla advertising, I decided I needed to hone my production skills. I majored in film at the University of Kansas and took any opportunity to learn more about the medium. I worked on a wide variety of short films and an occasional feature. My resume includes the family drama “All Roads Lead Home,” the Kevin Willmott Western “The Only Good Indian” and the exceedingly righteous “Last Ounce of Courage.”
In 2007 I joined Free State Studios as a production assistant, and with keen persuasion and a firm handshake, I landed a spot on the studio’s talented team of advertising producers.
On a personal note, I’m a lover of music, primary colors and animal rights.
